El Mussol
your comments review this restaurant
We tried this restaurant in spite of avery negative review on this web site, and were glad to find out this reviewer did not have a representative experience. We had a good, reasonably priced meal, with good service. This place was recommended by locals, so we disregarded the bad review and tried it. Mussol has good typical meals, decent wines, desserts that we all gobbled down, and service that was attentive. I also give them extra points for actually trying to improve customer service in new ways, such as online reservations at their web site, wireless devices for the waiters to take orders, and earpieces + phones for the waiters. This is all very unusual for a Spanish restaurant, in my experience. Nevermind that the waitress was still learning how to use the wireless system, and they had to confirm our orders several times -- the point is they are trying, which is more than one can say for 90% of the Spanish economy, in my humble opinion.
If you want a good typical meal in a place that is not mobbed with people, and you don't want to pay and arm and a leg, disregard the bad review and try El Mussol. You won't be disappointed.

Quite probably one of the worst meals we've ever had, the food and service were absolutely dreadful. Starters and mains arrived together, and our waitress was surprised when we asked her to take away the mains until we were ready. She carried the plates off to a nearby shelf, where they sat until we'd given up on our starters of over salted, over cooked snails in smashed shells; like salty grit. The shelved mains were cold, over salted and inedible. Our waitress said she couldn't do anything when we complained, so we called over the manager but he didn't give a damn.
